Origins · Sorrento, Victoria

Born of heritage.
Built for tomorrow.

In the historic coastal town of Sorrento, where deep blue water meets the Mornington Peninsula, the vision for Sorrento Fleet was born.

A legacy on the water

Where heritage meets the horizon.

Sorrento has always been defined by the sea. Once a haven for shipwrights and fishermen, the town carries a proud tradition of maritime craftsmanship, practical knowledge and lives shaped by the water.

From that heritage, Sorrento Fleet emerged: a modern Australian boatbuilder dedicated to honouring the past while shaping the future of premium boatbuilding.

The place behind the name

A real boating culture—not a borrowed story.

The Sovereign 50 reflects the character of its birthplace: confident without excess, elegant without pretence and designed for people who genuinely live around the water.

Classic proportions acknowledge the timber vessels that once worked and cruised these waters, while contemporary naval architecture, composite construction and intelligent systems create a vessel made for the way owners cruise today.

We honour the artisans of the past while embracing the aspirations of the future.

Built here

Australian made, internationally relevant.

The Victorian build proposition combines craftsmanship with CAD, 3D design and controlled assembly. Sustainable material sourcing, local supplier engagement, quality control and sea trials support the manufacturing approach.

The ambition extends beyond Australia, with international markets forming part of the long-term vision as the brand and production capability mature.
